These beautiful dolls are hand crafted by artisans in Sri Lanka.

With each Bonikka purchase made, a portion of the sale is donated to subsidise the living expenses of the girls housed at the Viharamahadevi Centre for Child Development in Sri Lanka.

Playing with dolls helps develop a child’s social-emotional skills. Re-enacting their own experiences through doll play allows children to view situations from various perspectives and gives them control over situations which they may not normally have control over. It also allows them to develop their empathy and nurturing skills.
